Frequently asked questions

  • Can I really become an interior designer without a formal education?

Yes. A degree is not a prerequisite for building a profitable interior design business. What you actually need is a sharp portfolio, a strong brand, and the business know-how to attract paying clients. That’s exactly what we give you.

  • Can I really learn the business of interior design in six days?

Absolutely. Six days of immersive, hands-on work with us will give you more practical business training than most four-year design programs. No fluff, no filler—just the tools, systems, and confidence you need to start making money.

  • Don’t I have to be certified or registered or licensed in order to become an interior designer?

No. Certification and licensing are only required for very specific commercial projects in some states. Residential interior design and most client projects don’t require it. Many of the top-earning designers in the industry never sat for a licensing exam.

  • How much money can I make annually as an interior designer?

It depends on how you position yourself, your business model, and how quickly you implement what we teach. Our graduates are earning anywhere from $50K to $500K+ annually. The ceiling is only as high as your ambition.

  • Does your school help people who already have a design business and want to level up?

Yes. About half of our students are already in business but stuck at a plateau. We’ll show you how to restructure your offers, raise your rates, scale your revenue, and stand out in a crowded market.

  • How much does it cost to come to Psychologie of Home Design School?

Tuition is $5,900, which includes catered meals each day. No surprise add-ons. You’re investing in a business education that pays you back many times ove

  • Are graduates able to launch their business right after school ends?

Yes. Most students leave school able to launch their business plan immediately. You’ll walk out of the room equipped to book your first client.

  • What technical skills like floor plans and elevation drawings do we learn during school?

We cover space planning, drawing floor plans and elevations, plus tools you’ll actually use in client presentations. In addition, you’ll learn the business side: pricing, marketing, branding, and systems, and all the insider secrets professional designers will never tell you.

  • Do students need design experience before coming to school?

Nope. Many of our students come in brand new. Others come with years of design under their belt but no business traction. Both thrive because our curriculum meets you where you are.

  • Is fear, imposter syndrome, and overcoming obstacles addressed during school?

Every day. We know the mental side is just as important as the tactical side. You’ll leave with confidence, clarity, and the courage to own your role as a design boss.

  • How long does each day last?

We meet for six full days, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with catered breakfast and lunch and breaks built in. Expect an intensive, bootcamp-style format.

  • Do you offer mentorship or continued support once the session is over?

Yes. We offer a year-long mentorship program for graduates who want coaching, accountability, and advanced growth strategies. Many grads join to keep their momentum going.

  • How long does it take to land your first job after the session is over?

Some grads book a client within days of leaving. Others take a month or two to implement their systems. With consistent effort, most have paying projects within 90 days.

  • How many students are in each design school?

We cap each school at around 20–25 students to keep it intimate, hands-on, and highly interactive.

  • Is airfare and lodging included? What about meals?

Airfare and lodging are not included. We do provide catered breakfast, lunches and snacks each day, so you’re fueled up and can focus fully on your work. And plenty of gourmet coffee!
